Generally speaking, 'pdb' is not a file format — it is a kind of container for many kinds of data. There are several incompatible book reader programs(usually for Palm) which use files with 'pdb' extension. Every Plucker book is 'pdb' file, but there are many other pdb-files(eReader books, iSilo books) which are not Plucker books. That's why we write "pdb (Plucker)" everywhere.

Please note, that pdb files support for ReaddleDocs is temporary unavailable. We expect to fix this by the 07-18-2008.
