How to Organize Scanned Documents on iPhone or iPad:

There are many different ways in which you can organize your scanned documents in Scanner Pro. Before we begin, ensure that you download Scanner Pro from the App Store.

The ‘My Scans’ screen in Scanner Pro shows you all the digital scans of documents that you have created or imported into the app. Did you know that you can organize your scanned PDFs into folders here?

How to Create Folders to Organize Documents on iPhone or iPad:

  1. Tap on the folder icon with the little plus symbol on the ‘My Scans’ screen.
  2. Type in a name for your new folder.
  3. Tap Done to create the folder.

Alternatively, you can also drag-and-drop a scan on top of another to create a new folder. You can create as many folders as you want in Scanner Pro to neatly organize your important documents. Once you’ve created your folders, you can start moving your digital scans into them.

How to Move Scanned Documents into Folders on iPhone or iPad:

  1. Tap Select at the top right of the screen.
  2. Tap to select each of the scans that you want to move into a folder.
  3. Tap on the Move option at the bottom.
  4. If the desired folder already exists, tap on the Folder Name that you want to move the scans to.
  5. To create a new folder while moving, tap on the little folder icon with the + sign at the top right of the screen.
  6. Finally, navigate to the folder you want to move the scans to, then tap on the Move button at the bottom.

How to Sort Your Documents by Date or by Name:

  1. Tap on the Sort by Date option on the ‘My Scans’ screen to reveal the sorting options
  2. By default, Scanner Pro sorts your digital scans by Latest Created.
  3. You can switch to sorting your documents by Latest Modified or By Name.
  4. Simply tap on the desired option and change your sorting preference in Scanner Pro 8.

How to Switch Between Grid View & List View in Scanner Pro 8:

Scanner Pro 8 can display all your important documents and digital scans either in Grid View or List View. To switch between either views, simply tap on the respective view icon at the top right of the screen.

How to Search Through Your Documents in Scanner Pro 8:

The Search feature in Scanner Pro 8 lets you search for your scans across folders, so you can neatly organize all your documents into as many folders as you want and get to them with a quick search.

Scanner Pro 8 automatically recognizes the text in your digital scans with OCR, so you can easily search & locate a document by searching for its name or even part of a text string contained in it. The search results are highlighted in yellow, making it easy to jump directly into the document you’re looking for. You can even collapse the 'By Title' group for easily locating your desired scan.
