PDF Expert for iPad 2.5 Makes Signing Documents Paperless

Jun 9, 2011

Readdle released PDF Expert 2.5, a new version of its cutting edge iPad application for editing PDF forms and annotating PDF documents. With PDF Expert 2.5 anyone can sign agreements and contracts with partners or clients right on the iPad. Since many contracts are interactive PDF documents, the new version adds support for signature fields in PDF forms.

Currently used by medical, insurance, manufacturing and realtor companies for their sales staff in the field, PDF Expert 2.5 lets them go paperless even for such important activity as signing agreements. Once signed, the document could be easily submitted to corporate email or web server for further processing.

In PDF Expert 2.5 people can choose between "My Signature" or "Customer Signature" when they sign document. "My Signature" is a regular signature of the sales person that is saved within PDF Expert and can be reused later. On the other hand "Customer Signature" is never saved, making application compliant with regulations in industries like insurance.

As most electronic agreements are PDF forms, PDF Expert 2.5 makes it possible to use special interactive signature fields when designing the document. Simple tap on the signature filed will reveal "My Signature" or "Customer Signature" making it very simple to sign document in any needed place.

"Signing agreements on the iPad is a huge opportunity for many companies that has sales people working in the field," says Alex Tyaguslky, Readdle CMO. "Prior to PDF Expert they needed to prepare agreement in the office, print it, sign with the customer, go back to office, scan it and upload to company server. Now all they need is the iPad with PDF Expert".

Pricing and availability:
PDF Expert for iPad 2.5 is available on the Apple App Store at $9.99 (USD) to new customers and as a free update for existing PDF Expert for iPad owners. Enterprise licensing is available upon request.
