We’re looking for a Manual QA Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality of PDF Expert, our flagship product, is more than just a PDF editor, it’s one of the most loved PDF apps, trusted by over 30 million people worldwide to read, edit, annotate, and manage PDFs seamlessly across Mac, iPad, and iPhone. Recognized as "App of the Year," an "Apple Editor’s Choice," and a Red `Dot Design Award winner, PDF Expert sets the standard for effortless document workflows.

What you’ll do:

  • Test the application. Includes design testing, UI / UX testing, functionality, marketing, localization testing
  • Create test plan for checking new feature or marketing experiment
  • Write test runs and test cases in QA Sphere
  • Do release testing before each release
  • Do post-release testing (check customers issues in helpspot, check crashes in appcenter)
  • Share knowledge with team and company
  • Challenge existing processes, highlight problems, and propose improvements
  • Assist other product teams in the area of your competence (on demand)

About you:

  • 3+ years of manual testing experience
  • Experience in testing desktop applications (ideally on macOS)
  • Deep understanding of QA theory, software development and testing life cycle. Strong proficiency in test design techniques (equivalence classes, boundary values, pairwise testing, decision tables)
  • Experience in creating clear and structured test documentation (test cases, checklists)
  • Experience with Git: Understanding basic commands and processes
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to clearly and convincingly convey one's opinion to developers and managers
  • Independence and proactivity
  • Strong analytical abilities and ability to decompose complex systems into parts for testing

Would be a plus:

  • AI testing experience
  • Experience writing prompts is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with automated testing concepts
  • Testing campaigns configured through Braze
