Readdle Releases PDF Expert 2 for iPhone Adding PDF Forms and Annotating

Mar 17, 2011

Readdle has announced that PDF Expert 2 for iPhone is now available on the App Store. The iPhone edition of the professional PDF viewing application allows users to annotate documents, fill in Adobe PDF forms and offers a host of professional features for both new and experienced users.

"We redesigned the whole application to bring most advanced capabilities of the iPad edition of PDF Expert to the iPhone," said Igor Zhadanov, founder and CEO of Readdle. "Everything from adding notes to the document to PDF forms filling has been developed with iPhone in mind. As a standalone app it has got everything you need to work with PDF documents, and now you can also collaborate with others thanks to the expanded networking capabilities like two way Dropbox sync or FTP connectivity."

PDF Expert 2 for iPhone features PDF annotation capabilities for fast, easy reviewing documents. Colored highlights, notes, even text typed directly on PDF page are saved within the file with the full compliance to Adobe PDF specifications. This allows user to continue working with the document on the desktop, once the file is transferred from the iPhone.

Emailing annotated document usually makes the recipient wonder what notes and comments were added. PDF Expert 2 addresses this case by adding annotation summary to the email. Along with the file itself, all highlights and notes can be summarized in email body, which streamlines the review process.

PDF Expert 2 is the first and only application to fill PDF forms on the iPhone. Businesses of any size, educational and research organizations can embed iPhone into existing processes of collecting data, getting agreements signed or orders completed. All variety of Adobe PDF form elements are supported. Editable fields, checkboxes, dropdown lists, even calculated fields work the same way as they do on the desktop computer. Same as annotations, all data entered into PDF form is saved according to Adobe specifications, thus is visible and editable in any mobile or desktop viewer that supports it.

New to PDF Expert 2 is Flatten, which embeds annotations and filled form data into PDF file as non-editable page content. Such finalized files can be opened within any iOS viewer, including official Mail app on the iPhone, making it possible for any iPhone/iPad owner to see the edits with no additional efforts.

Pricing and Availability:
PDF Expert 2.0 is $9.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Business category.
