This Thursday we will launch Scanner Pro 7 — a major new version that reinvents mobile document scanning once again.
Scanner Pro 7 has a big goal — not only did we want to create be the best scanner on the App Store as New York Times said , but also we aimed to deliver the best scanning experience for anyone who wants his/her documents to be scanned. Best scanning quality in the industry, automation and ease of use are the main principles upon which Scanner Pro 7 was built.
So What's New and why Scanner Pro 7 is such a big deal:
1. OCR (optical character recognition) gives you the power to extract words from scans and make the PDFs searchable. Words are powerful, you are more than welcome to use them now.
2. Distortion Correction is a new technology that makes sure your scans are super clean and professional, providing the best quality. It removes shadows, fixes geometry, detects the size of the document and much more.
3. Workflows. Are you big on automation? Now you can create workflows for your scans to be processed and shared with just one tap.
I personally love "Receipt tracking" workflow that I created: automatically renames the scan to be compliant with our company policy -> uploads it to my personal Evernote account -> and to a corporate Dropbox account -> emails it to our accountant so my expenses for those tacos in Austin can be reimbursed. With just one tap.
