Amazing news! Calendars by Readdle won a Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2021. This is a great achievement for the entire Readdle team that speaks for the excellent quality of our product.
“Creating a calendar app requires tremendous effort, sleepless nights, and months of work for the entire team. The highest praise for us is when people use our product while the award itself is a sign of recognition from the professional community,” says Oleg Sukhorukov, the Lead Product Designer at Readdle.
Red Dot: celebrating excellent design
The Red Dot Award is one of the world’s largest and most renowned design competitions, with more than 18,000 yearly entries from over 70 countries. Since 1955, Red Dot has appraised the best products based on such criteria as “design quality and innovation,” “originality and creativity” and “comprehensibility and emotional significance.”
This year’s winners will be honored and presented in the online exhibition on November 12. And the annual Yearbook Brands & Communication Design 2021/22 will be published in December.
Calendars: designed to win back time
Calendars by Readdle is a smart and beautiful calendar app for iPhone and iPad, used by millions of people worldwide. With so many calendar apps out there, our focus is to create the most beautiful and delightful experience. The entire interface is crafted to help you effortlessly manage a busy schedule. Multiple views, quick navigation between dates, and beautiful widgets help you quickly see what’s ahead and easily plan your day, week, or month.
“Convenience and simple yet effective solutions are our core design principles. One of our main goals was to improve the navigation in the app and make it easy to work with multiple calendars. Besides functionality, we always focus on emotions people get from using the product,” says Oleg Sukhorukov.
Winning is the beginning! Yet, the biggest award for us is to help millions of people organize their lives, become more productive, and save time for meaningful things.
Our team is working hard on the new Calendars version (with something special for Mac users), so stay tuned!
