Readdle is one of the leaders in the personal productivity space on Apple devices. Our mission is to make people more productive by enabling technology to millions. We strive to create the best experiences on mobile and desktop for those who want to be more efficient and creative. 

We are looking for a professional who will execute the marketing strategy for Readdle Consumer Apps and will lead its execution in the areas of Product Marketing, Performance Marketing, Content Marketing, and Brand Communications. You will lead our marketing efforts at the time when we are transitioning to new platforms and business models. 

This role will suit an experienced marketeer who can confidently work across all of the marketing disciplines and can shape and execute an ambitious marketing strategy that will allow Readdle’s products to scale and achieve their full potential.  We are assembling a team of marketing experts to manage the specialist elements of the marketing strategy, but this is a hands-on role where the Head of Marketing would be expected to commit to and deliver tangible results.

Allocation in the team and key partners:
The Head of Marketing is a part of the leadership team and reports directly to the Chief Product Officer/Co-Founder. At this level, the Head of Marketing is also involved in contributing to the company strategy. 
The product strategy is built up in collaboration with the CPO and Product Managers as a partnership. Together with them, the Head of Marketing works to create product positioning, branding, business model definition, product distribution, UA, communications for new updates, and pricing.
The Head of Marketing works with designers, marketers, and developers to support the delivery of the marketing campaigns: email marketing, PR, communication strategy and execution, events, branding, back-end and front-end, sites and resource creation, A/B experiments, localizations, ASO, SEO, etc. 

What will you do:

Marketing Leadership

  • Shape and execute the marketing strategy for Readdle consumer products
  • Manage the balance between performance marketing, product marketing, content marketing, SEO, and brand marketing to build and optimize the channel strategy
  • Utilize best practice methodologies to drive consumer engagement and, together with the team, translate those practices into high-performing execution
  • Manage and lead the marketing team, hire and coordinate marketers to achieve high performance in each of their areas
  • Work cross-functionally with product managers and product teams to deliver marketing plans, analyze product marketing performance, and discover new opportunities

Performance Marketing, Content & SEO

  • Create and scale new user acquisition channels for our subscription products
  • Shape and execute the performance marketing strategy
  • Set and deliver an actionable list of metrics related to customer acquisition
  • Deliver the business goals through customer-oriented and data-driven marketing campaigns
  • Create an effective content & SEO strategy and translate it into a clear set of goals and implementation plans for the team; deliver the content and SEO strategy
  • Run content creation with the focus on direct-response metrics
  • Ensure we have all the talent needed to create compelling content and achieve business goals
  • Evaluate the potential of using multiple media channels (podcasts, YouTube, etc.), in addition to web content creation; execute on the strategy

Product Marketing

  • Create and distribute product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target customers
  • Overview and run major product releases with coordinated marketing activities across all relevant communication channels including press, social media, email, etc
  • Collaborate with product managers to improve the in-app user journey, including on-boarding, “what’s new” and conversion screens
  • Work with Product managers on feature prioritization, business model and pricing adjustments

Brand Marketing and Communications

  • Develop the brand marketing strategy and drive its execution
  • Marketing research: Learn more about Readdle target customers and constantly discover their needs in the area of personal productivity
  • Communicate a consistent brand message to the audience across different media platforms
  • Overview and execute the PR strategy
  • Continue leveraging Readdle’s existing relationships with experts and influencers to build and strengthen brand awareness

About you:

  • Proven track record of leading marketing efforts in international tech companies
  • Successful experience in managing global marketing initiatives
  • Successful experience in leading growth-focused teams and practices
  • Strategic mindset but execution-focused; strong results orientation
  • Entrepreneurial skills and strong business acumen acquired in a technology company: knowledge of the software industry, business models, value creation, go-to-market strategies, UA, BD, etc
  • Extensive experience in the marketing of consumer software products, including product and performance marketing
  • Understanding all of the elements of marketing from first principles and can use this knowledge to effectively lead a marketing team
  • Strong positioning, branding, copywriting, and storytelling skills
  • Strong leadership skills and charisma
  • Early adopter and a fast learner
  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking
  • Adaptable, agile market, able to deliver in ambiguous environments
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills; detailed, precise, and straightforward communicator
  • Experience of working with Eastern European employees would be useful but is not essential
