At the same time, you will still be able to use all annotation tools you already had. The exception — Review mode (markup).
Review mode (markup)
Some of you draw attention to the fact that you could previously edit text, and now this feature is gone.
Let us kindly note, that what you refer to as editing text was a Markup tool and it was not the real editing. It is iPad's Review mode, that is just another annotation tool . It was added as a workaround while there were no technical possibility to add real Editing in the past.
We have decided to remove this feature because it was never real PDF editing it should've been and it was used by less than 1% of our users. Readdle apps are known for its slick design and powerful features, and to strike a perfect balance we have to make decisions.
We understand the frustration of those who used the Review/ Markup mode, and at this time suggest you to use Annotation tools that will do the job for you.
