Calendars update: Vibrant. Personalized. Arranged.

It’s a Monday morning, and your calendar is packed. Meetings, deadlines, and reminders all demand your attention. As you glance at your screen, you wish for something simpler, something that reflects your style while helping you keep everything in order. That’s where our new Calendars update steps in.

Today, we’re releasing features designed to give you more control, more customization, and a more seamless way to organize your schedule. With iOS 18 support, a new look, and more powerful tools, we’re making it easier to stay organized. It’s all about giving you more ways to make Calendars truly yours.

More colors, more personalization, more you

Pro Color-Coding

We’ve listened to your feedback and are introducing Pro Color-Coding, one of our most requested features. Now, you can use a wider range of colors to organize your events and tasks on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Sometimes you need your calendar to be as clear as possible but don’t have the time to tweak every detail. Pro Color-Coding helps by offering organized color collections, making it quicker and easier to choose the right colors for each event.

You can also create custom colors, rename them, and save your favorites. And it all looks fantastic in dark mode. Be it meetings, birthdays, or reminders, we’ve made sure you have more options to organize everything just the way you like.

Free users will continue to enjoy the basic color set, while Pro users will unlock enhanced color customization options, as well as a full range of other premium features to enrich your Calendars experience. The Pro subscription, which includes all these features and more, is available for $19.99 per year or $59.99 for lifetime access.

Customizable sidebar & app icon

We’ve also redesigned the Sidebar in Calendars app for the iPhone to give you even more flexibility. You can now customize it with colors and patterns that reflect your style, making your calendar feel truly yours.

Say you’re juggling multiple projects, meetings, or personal tasks. To help keep everything in one place and easy to access, Calendars is making it simpler with the new Sidebar - your personal schedule control center. The Sidebar now dynamically updates with real-time information like upcoming events, weather updates, invites, and tips — keeping you informed without overwhelming your screen.

We’ve also streamlined managing multiple calendars and accounts, making everything more intuitive. Plus, we’re introducing new customizable app icons, so you can personalize the app even further. Now, former Calendars 5 users can set the yellow app icon they liked if they choose to. While some of these features are available with our Pro subscription, free users will still enjoy the refreshed blue-themed Sidebar with core features.

iOS 18 support

Apple has officially launched iOS 18, emphasizing personalization with its "Yours. Truly" theme. We’ve ensured that Calendars is fully optimized for iOS 18, offering complete support for dark mode, tinted widgets, and an overall smoother experience on your iPhone or iPad.

These enhancements are available to all users, so everyone can enjoy a more seamless and visually cohesive experience with the latest iOS updates.

Start organizing your way today

We know that organizing your life is personal, and this update is all about giving you more control to make your calendar work for you. Whether it’s through more color options or a more customizable Sidebar, we’re helping you stay organized in a way that feels right for you. Our goal is to make Calendars a tool that not only keeps you on track but also fits your style.
