It’s amazing how much can happen in a year, and how quickly we forget when it all took place. Some of the features we launched in 2024 already feel like they’ve been around forever. That’s why taking a moment to look back is so rewarding.
As we wrap up 2024, we want to celebrate everything we accomplished and thank you for being part of it. To show our appreciation, we’ve also got a special gift for you.

2024: a year of innovation and growth
This year, we introduced tools and features that make managing files, editing photos, and handling media easier than ever.
The Tools Tab was one of the most significant updates. Managing files used to mean navigating through menus and searching for the right tool. The Tools Tab changed that by bringing everything into one organized hub. With all 34 tools in one place, it’s easier to get things done. Plus, the app can now suggest files based on their format, making your workflow even smoother.
Another standout was the Smart Eraser. It’s an AI-powered editing tool that lets you remove distractions from your photos in just a few taps. Whether you’re editing out a person in the background or cleaning up an object that doesn’t belong, Smart Eraser makes your photos look just the way you want. It’s quick, easy, and works on any photo—even ones taken with another camera.
We also introduced Audio and Video Transcription to help you work with media content more effectively. You can transcribe voice memos, podcasts, and even videos into text right within the app. Audio transcription is free for everyone, and Plus subscribers get the added benefit of video transcription. Once transcribed, you can edit and organize your text alongside your other files, all in one place.
Finally, our Referral Program allowed you to share Documents with friends and family. It’s our way of spreading productivity while rewarding you and your loved ones with a free month of Documents Plus.

What’s next in 2025
While 2024 brought many interesting updates, we’re just getting started. Next year, we’re launching a web platform that will let you give more possibilities to act on your files. It’s a big step toward making Documents even more versatile and accessible.
We’re also working on smarter AI tools to help you manage and edit files faster and more efficiently. These updates will build on everything we’ve achieved this year, making 2025 our most exciting year yet.
